Doing one or the other? Selling a house · Buying a house
Who you’ll work with
I’m from Akron and I sell houses here.
I got my Ohio license in September 2024 and I work on The Penney Group. I’m also finishing a degree in financial management, which turns out to be more useful here than it sounds. Buying or selling a house is mostly a money decision, and most of the questions people actually have are money questions: what it’s worth, what it will cost to sell, what’s left at the end.
I answer my phone. That is a low bar, and it is still the thing clients bring up most often.
Outside of work I snowboard, travel and take photos.

Common questions
What areas do you work in? Mostly Summit County: Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Stow, Hudson, Tallmadge, Barberton, Green and the towns around them. I also work in Medina County and the Cleveland area.
Who is your broker? eXp Realty, LLC, Ohio brokerage license REC.2017000807. Within that brokerage I work on The Penney Group. Ohio requires every agent to work under a broker, and requires that broker to be named in any advertising, which is why eXp appears on every page here.
How long have you been licensed? Since September 2024. It is on the state license lookup, so you would find it anyway. I am newer at this than most agents you will talk to. What I would say is that I am on a team with people who have been doing it for decades, and I ask them when I do not know something.
Are you a REALTOR®? Yes. I belong to the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, so I am held to its Code of Ethics on top of Ohio license law.
What does it cost to sell a house with you? Commission is negotiable. There is no standard rate and none set by law. I will give you a number in writing before you sign anything, along with the other costs that come out of the sale, so you can see roughly what you are left with.
What is my house worth? I will put together a written estimate for free, with the comparable sales I used to get there. That is a broker price opinion, not an appraisal. An appraisal has to come from a licensed appraiser, and the buyer’s lender will order one anyway.
Do I have to fix everything before I list? No. Some repairs pay for themselves and plenty do not. I will walk through the house with you and tell you which ones I think are worth doing. Sometimes the answer is to price it as it stands and leave it alone.
How quickly do you answer? Usually within the hour during the day, and the same day otherwise. If I am in a showing it might take me a couple of hours.
Can you help me buy before I have sold? Often, yes. The order matters more than people expect, and it depends on your mortgage and on whether you can handle moving twice. We would work that out before you list anything.
Do you work with first-time buyers? Yes, a good share of my work is first-time buyers. I will probably over-explain things. Tell me if I am.
Do you only handle houses people live in? Mostly. I am interested in the investment side as well, so if you are looking at a rental or something that needs work, I am happy to go through the numbers with you.
What is the first step? A conversation. No paperwork and no cost. Call or text (330) 388-8445, or use the form on this page. If you are selling I will want to see the house. If you are buying I will want to know your budget and what you are looking for.
